Carefully lift off the camshaft, using tool 9998264.

Remove the cylinder head mounting bolts.

Remove the #4 lower bearing housing for the camshaft.
Remove the stud bolt for the valve cover. Use Kent-Moore
socket J–41203 to remove early style stud bolts (oval
flange). Use a 14 mm deepwell socket for new style studs
(hexagonal flange). Install tool 9996239 in the bearing
housing and stud bolt holes.

Install lifting bracket J-41503 on to the cylinder head.
Carefully lift off the cylinder head from the engine. Then,
remove the head gasket from the cylinder block.
