Rotary Push Switches RPS
For direct dimming and switching of drive units
RPS Modules provide the signal for, and directly switch the
mains supply to 0-10V or 1 -10V drive units, such as: LED
drivers; fluorescent ballasts; low voltage transformers, including
VoltMaster (p10); neon and argon transformers; and the
Analogue Mains Dimmer AD2500 (p11) for mains dimmable
loads. No extra hardware is required.
Features and benefits
•
Push on/ off 10A switching of mains supply.
•
Change-over mains switch allows for two / multiple-way
switching.
•
Separate isolated control varies the signal between 0-10V or
1-10V.
•
Brightness varies over full rotation of control knob.
•
Minimum and maximum brightness presets to set the range
of the dimming.
•
Available for single drive unit or for 2 – 25 drive units.
•
Wide range of finishes available with different mouldings for
all UK gridplates.
RPS range
Three standard types of RPS modules are available, each with
a slightly different control technique:
RPS1 2-wire 1-10V control of one drive unit.
RPS2 2-wire 1-10V control of 2 – 25 looped drive units.
RPS3 3-wire control for VoltMaster (p10).
NB: Special 2-wire modules for LED driver(s) which require
a signal down to 0V are available on request.
Rotary Push Controls RPC
For retrofit and multiple control positions
RPC Modules control the dimming and mains switching,
via a single 2-core cable, of 0-10V or 1 -10V controlled drive
units including LED drivers, fluorescent ballasts, low voltage
transformers, neon and argon transformers, and the Analogue
Mains Dimmer AD2500 (p11) for mains dimmable loads. For
retrofit, this cable may be existing cable (disconnected from the
mains), or for new installations it may be a 2-core signal cable –
the cable in both cases will carry a low voltage signal.
For mains switching of 0-10V drive units the Contactor Controller
MCC (p12) is always required (with the exception that the RPC
can be wired directly to the AD2500 to handle both the dimming
and switching of mains driven lighting). For multiple control
positions around a room the Take Control MTC (p12) is also
required .
Features and benefits
•
Single 2-wire low voltage control of dimming and mains
switching.
•
Brightness varies over full rotation of control knob.
•
Minimum and maximum brightness presets to set the range
of the dimming.
•
Available for a single drive unit or for 2 – 25 drive units.
•
Retrofit dimming and switching using single existing 2-core
cable if used with Multiload Contactor Control (MCC) or
AD2500.
•
Two to four rotary dimming positions around a room if used
with Take Control (MTC).
•
Dims many AD2500s in unison allowing single-point control
of large banks of lighting.
•
Wide range of finishes available with different mouldings
for all UK gridplates.
RPC range
Two types of RPC modules are available, each with a slightly
different control technique:
RPC1 Standard 2-wire 0 -10V or 1-10V control of one MCC
or direct to one AD2500
RPC2 2-wire control of 2 – 25 AD2500s (or MCCs if required)
