Take Control
MTC
Multiload Take Control (MTC) allows any one of up to four
0-10V signal sources to take control of the dimming and
switching of a single channel of lighting; when a signal is
changed it automatically routes to the MTC output.
Up to four 0-10V Multiload Rotary Push Controls (RPC p7)
can be connected, one to each of the MTC inputs, allowing the
lights to be manually controlled from multiple positions.
The MTC output is always connected to a Multiload Contactor
Controller MCC (left) which provides mains switching and a
boosted dimming signal for drive units.
When a lighting control system (eg. MoodMaker) is connected
to an MTC input, it can be manually overridden by RPC(s)
connected to other inputs.
Available as
•
Din-rail mounted MTC4/ DIN (pictured). To be used as a
building block in systems. NB. This option uses a Din-rail
mounted MCC
•
Stand-alone MTC4 /SA. Combined with an MCC in a stand-
alone plastic enclosure for individual channels of lighting.
•
Dual version. Available as Din-rail (MTC/2DIN) or stand-alone
(MTC/2SA). For two channels of lighting with only two signal
sources per channel. NB. Requires two MCCs.
Features and benefits
•
Allows up to four rotary dimming and switching positions
around a room.
•
Immediate control from any position.
•
Allows any channel of a lighting control system to be
manually overridden to any brightness level.
•
Can be used as a building block in any 0-10V system.
•
Low voltage signal controls both dimming and switching.
•
SELV inputs and output 2-core cable.
•
Allows use of existing cable for easy retrofit.
•
Single push of RPC knob toggles mains switching on/ off
from any position.
Technical
•
Requires no mains power and is connected only to the signal
sources and the MCC.
Contactor Controller
MCC
Multiload Contactor Controller (MCC) accepts a 0-10V
signal from a Rotary Push Control (RPC, p7), Take Control
(right) or 0-10V lighting system (eg. MoodMaker, p4) and
provides a boosted signal for up to 25 standard drive units,
such as LED drivers and fluorescent ballasts.
When the signal is taken below 1V it switches off the mains
supply to the load via an internal relay rated at 10A. Any size
load can be switched by the addition of a standard mains
voltage controlled lighting contactor.
Available as
•
Din rail mounted MCC/DIN (pictured). To be used as a
building block in systems.
•
Stand-alone MCC/SA. Single or multiple MCCs in a stand-
alone plastic enclosure.
Features and benefits
•
Can be used as a building block in any 0-10V system.
•
Uses 2-core cable to carry low voltage SELV compatible
signal, which controls both the dimming and switching of a
single channel of lighting.
•
Allows use of existing cable for easy retrofit.
•
Rotation of the RPC Rotary Push Control knob (p7) dims the
lighting smoothly to any brightness level.
•
Single push of RPC knob toggles mains switching on/ off.
Technical
•
Requires connection to the mains which also supplies mains
power to the drive units via the on-board relay.
•
Rating of relay: 10A.
For larger loads, an additional mains voltage controlled
lighting contactor can be switched by the MCC mains output.
•
Additional normally-closed mains output facilitates stand-by
lighting and fail-safe connection.
•
Input and output 2-core signal cable is SELV compatible.
