10. INSERTING BATTERIES
Slide off the protective cap (12) and then remove the moisturizing
cap (11). Remove the moisturizing cap by turning it anticlockwise.
Remove the cap nut (9) turning it anticlockwise. Carefully remove
the measuring electrode (10) to open the device. The battery

Pull the battery compartment lid towards the opposite of the arrow
marking in order to open the battery compartment. The battery

Insert 4x 1.5 V type AAA batteries into the battery compartment
observing correct polarity. Observe the polarity markings (+/–) inside
the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment lid pulling it slightly in the direction of
the arrow marking, until it locks into place.
Attach the measuring electrode in such a way, that the recess on the

Make sure the O ring (sealing ring) does not get damaged or is not
damaged already. If the O ring is damaged, the device is not sealed
anymore and incoming water will damage the electronics.
 
Secure the measuring electrode with the cap nut and turn latter one
clockwise until tight. Do not apply excessive force in order to prevent
damage.
Then reinstall the moisturizing and protective caps.
Replace the batteries once the low battery indicator (F) starts

