10. INSERTING BATTERIES
• Slide off the protective cap (12) and then remove the moisturizing
cap (11). Remove the moisturizing cap by turning it anticlockwise.
• Remove the cap nut (9) turning it anticlockwise. Carefully remove
the measuring electrode (10) to open the device. The battery
• Pull the battery compartment lid towards the opposite of the arrow
marking in order to open the battery compartment. The battery
• Insert 4x 1.5 V type AAA batteries into the battery compartment
observing correct polarity. Observe the polarity markings (+/–) inside
the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment lid pulling it slightly in the direction of
the arrow marking, until it locks into place.
• Attach the measuring electrode in such a way, that the recess on the

• Secure the measuring electrode with the cap nut and turn latter one
clockwise until tight. Do not apply excessive force in order to prevent
damage.
• Then reinstall the moisturizing and protective caps.
• Replace the batteries once the low battery indicator (F) starts
