Remote Control Interface
The Remote control interface section describes how to set up the USB interface for PC connection.
Remote control command details are described in the VDO-2000A Programming Manual. Note that
printing to a PictBridge compatible printer and remote control cannot be supported at the same time
as the same USB port is used.
USB connection PC / Printer end Type A, host
VDO-2000A end Type B, slave
Speed 1.1/2.0 (full speed)
Procedure
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB slave port.
2. The USB port may need to be congured if the
USB port is not automatically detected.

3. When the PC asks for the USB driver, select dso_vdo.inf,
which is downloadable from the Conrad website,
www.conrad.com.
4. On the PC, activate a terminal application such as Hyper Terminal. To check
the COM port No., see the Device Manager in the PC. For WindowsXP, select
Control panel → System → Hardware tab.
