9. BATTERY
Before you can work with the measuring device, you must rst insert the enclosed
battery.
a) Inserting and replacing the battery
A 9 V alkaline or lithium monobloc battery is needed to operate the measuring device. When using
for the rst time or when the battery status symbol (at) appears in the display, you must insert a
new, full (rechargeable) battery of the same type. Also note the safety guidelines for (rechargeable)
batteries (page 53).
