9. BATTERY
Before you can work with the measuring device, you must rst insert the enclosed
battery.
a) Inserting and replacing the battery
A 9 V alkaline or lithium monobloc battery is needed to operate the measuring device. When using
for the rst time or when the battery status symbol (at) appears in the display, you must insert a
new, full (rechargeable) battery of the same type. Also note the safety guidelines for (rechargeable)
batteries (page 53).
