21. Troubleshooting
In purchasing the DMM, you have acquired a product designed to the state of the art that is operationally reliable.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
For this reason, the following is a description of how you can easily remove possible malfunctions yourself:
Always follow the safety instructions!
Error Possible cause Remedy
The multimeter does not work. Is the battery dead? Check the status.
Replace the battery.
No measured value change. Is a wrong measuring function Check the display (AC/DC)
active (AC/DC)? and switch the function if required.
Are the measuring lines Check the proper an fit of the
inserted tightly into the jacks? measuring lines
Is the fuse defect? Check the fuses.
Is the HOLD function activated Press the button “H” to
(display “H”) deactivate this function.
The meter beeps and the Incorrectly connected or Connect measuring lines properly to the
“WARNING!” symbol flashes unsuitable measuring lines
