3. Intended use
The data logger allows measurement of illuminance in lux or foot-candle (fc). The internal memory can automatically
storeupto31,320measuredvalues.Thedevicecongurationsuchasstorageintervalordifferentstartmodescanbe
programmed online via a web-based user interface. There is no need to install any software. If an online connection is
notavailable,thecongurationcanalsobecarriedoutusingthestandardsoftwaresupplied.
The measuring range is 0 – 40000 lux/fc. The data logger interval can be preset from 10 seconds to 24 hours. An LC
display shows the current measured value.
The data logger is powered by a commercially available 3 V lithium round-cell battery (type CR2450). Only use bat-
teriesofthespeciedtype.
The product is connected to a computer like a commercially available USB removable disc and read there. It automati-
cally creates a graphic report in PDF format and a tabular report in CSV format.
Measurements in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex) are not allowed. The device is dust-tight and water-jet proof
(IP65)whentheUSBprotectivecapistted.
Using this product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product and result in a short
circuit,reorelectricshock.Theproductmustnotbemodiedorreassembled!
