14. CHARGING THE QUICK-STARTING SYSTEM
Switch off all product components (working lamp, compressor, voltage converter, 12 V and
USB output socket), and put the rotary switch for the starting aid (18) to the “OFF” position as
well. If a device is connected to the 12 V output socket, disconnect it from the quick-start sys-
tem!
Important: Due to the self-discharge of lead batteries, we recommend recharging the quick-
start system every 3-4 months at the latest.
a) Charging with 230V Plug-in Charger
- Connect the low-voltage cable of the charger (25) to the charging socket (9), plug the plug-in charger in
a mains socket (230V~/50Hz). The charge LED (8) lights up.
- If the battery in the quick-start system is completely empty, charging will take approx. 40-42 hours.
- After completion of charging, disconnect the plug-in charger from the quick-start system and remove it
from the mains socket.
Occasionally check the charge state by pressing the button (7). For this, the charging cable for
mains operation must be removed first! The voltmeter display (3) shows the charge state.
b) Charging with 12V Charging Cable
- Connect the 12V charging cable (23) to the charging socket (9), then plug the cigarette lighter plug into
the corresponding socket of the vehicle. The charge LED (8) lights up. If not, the vehicle socket only
has voltage applied if the ignition is on. In this case, we recommend using the included 230V plug-in
charger for charging.
- If the battery in the quick-start system is completely empty, charging will take approx. 12-18 hours.
- After completion of charging, disconnect the 12V-charging cable from the quick-start system and
remove it from the cigarette lighter socket.
Occasionally check the charge state by pressing the button (7). For this, the car 12V charging
cable must be removed first! The voltmeter display (3) shows the charge state.
