c) Voltage measurement “V”
Proceed as follows to measure direct voltages “V ”(DC):
-   Switch the DMM on and select the “V ” measurement 
mode. “DC” and “V” will appear on the display.
-   For lower voltages up to max. 600 mV, select the “mV ” 
measurement function.
-   Insert the red lead into the V socket (G) and the black lead into 
the COM socket (H).
-   Connect the two measuring probes to the object to be meas-
ured (battery, switch, etc.). Connect the red measuring probe 
to the positive terminal and the black measuring probe to the 
negative terminal.
-   The polarity of the measurement is indicated on the display. 
-   After taking a measurement, remove the leads from the meas-
ured object and switch the DMM off.
  If “-” appears in front of a direct voltage measurement, this indicates that the measured voltage is negative 
(or that the test leads have been connected in reverse).
 The“VDC/AC”voltagerangehasaninputresistanceof>10MΩ.ThemVrangehasaninputresistanceof
≤1000MΩ.Ifopenmeasuringinputsareused,anundenedmeasurementvaluemaybedisplayedinthe
mV range due to the high input resistance. This, however, has no effect on the measurement result.
