User manual
For safety and approval reasons (CE), it is not permitted to modify or alter the product in any
way.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the multimeter.
Measuring instruments and accessories are not toys and must be kept out of the reach of
children!
For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations for electrical
systems and equipment of the government safety organization or the corresponding authority
for your country.
In schools and training facilities and hobby and self-help workshops, the use of measuring
devices must be monitored by trained and responsible personnel.
Verify that the multimeter is set to the correct measuring range before each measurement.
Always remove the test leads from the measuring object before changing the measuring
range.
The voltage between the multimeter‘s connection points and earth potential may not exceed
1000 V. DC/AC in CAT II or 600 V in CAT III.
Exercise extreme caution when handling voltages >33 V AC or >70 V DC! Even at such volt-
ages you can receive a life-threatening electric shock upon contact with electric wires.
To prevent electric shock, make sure not to touch the connections/measuring points to be
measured directly or indirectly during measurement. During the measurement, you must not
reach beyond the textured grip area markings to touch the test probes and the meter.
Always check the multimeter and test leads for damage(s) before each measurement. Never
conduct measurements if the protective insulation is damaged (torn, missing, etc.). The
included test leads feature a wear indicator. If damaged, a second insulating layer of a different
color becomes visible. In this case, cease use of and replace the equipment immediately.
Do not use the multimeter immediately prior to, during or just after a thunderstorm (chance of
lightning! / high-energy overvoltages!). Please make sure that your hands, shoes, clothing, the
oor, switches, switching components, etc. are dry.
