Enclosed with the DDM is a thermocouple with banana plugs that can be used to measure
temperatures between -40 and +230 °C. An optional type K thermocouples is required to use
the DMM‘s full measuring range (-40 to +1000 °C). An optional temperature measuring adapter
with type K socket is required to connect most type K thermocouples with miniature connector.
The adapter is not included.
All type K thermocouples can be used for temperature measurement. The temperature can be
displayed in °C or °F.

- Turn on the DMM and select the measuring range „°C“. The
display shows the symbols for temperature measurement.
- Connect the included thermocouple correctly by inserting
the red plug (positive pole) into the V measuring socket (10)
and the black plug (negative pole) into the COM test socket
(9). For other type K thermocouples use an optional type K
adaptor.
- The display shows the temperature value in °C.
- Use the SELECT key to switch the unit from °C to °F. Each
time you press the key, the unit is switched.
- If the display shows OL, the measurement range was
exceeded or the thermocouple is defective.
- Remove the thermocouple and turn off the DMM after measurement.
If the test input is bypassed (sockets: °C - COM), the device temperature of the DMM
is displayed. Due to the closed housing, the temperature will adjust to the surroundings
very slowly.
