Proceed as follows to measure alternating currents (A ):

- Switch on the DMM with the dial switch (13) and select the

matching measuring range. Always start with the largest

measuring range.

- For measurements from 0 A to 20 A, select the range

“20A ”, from 20 to 200 A the range “200A ” and

up to 400 A the measuring range “400A ”. “A” and

the symbol for alternating current “AC” now appear in the

display.

- The display is automatically set to zero when the current

probe is closed in alternating current measuring range.

Wait until the display shows zero before you start the

measurement.

- Push the current probe opening lever (4) and open the

current probe this way.

- Reach around the individual conductor to be measured

and close the current probe again. Position the conductor

centrally with the opening at the probe.

- The measured value is indicated on the display.

- Remove the current probe from the object to be measured after completion of the measure-

ment and switch off the device. Turn the dial switch to “OFF”.
