12. Troubleshooting
With the multimeter, you have purchased a reliable product developed using state-of-the-art technology.
Nonetheless, errors and malfunctions may occur.
Please review the following for information on troubleshooting should problems occur:

Error Possible cause
The multimeter is not working.
Is the power indicator on?
Are batteries used up?
Check the state of the 9 V battery and the fuse.
Resistance measurement not possible.
Are batteries used up? Check the state of both micro (AAA)
batteries and the fuse.
No measurement using the V/mA socket (7)
is possible.
Is the fuse defective?
Check the fuse F 0.5 A/500 V (replacing the fuse).
No measurement using the 10A socket (4) is
possible.
Is the fuse defective?
Check the fuse F 10 A/500 V (replacing the fuse).
There is no change of the measured value. Are the correct measuring sockets selected?
Is the correct measuring function selected (AC/DC)?
The multimeter is showing incorrect readings. Was the display zeroed (zero adjustment/zero ohm adjustment
for resistance measurement) before measuring?
Is the "Vrms/Vp-p" button (9) pressed?
