9. OPERATION
Settings are conrmed with a beep.
a) Turning on/off
• The product is turned off when the setting wheel (2) is in the OFF position. Turn off the
product after you have nished using it.
b) Selecting the measuring value / test function
• To select a measuring value or a test function, turn the setting wheel to the desired value
(2A~, 20A~, 200A~) or function (NCV). Important! Set the measuring value / test function
before you start measuring/testing the object.
• You will hear a beep when you select a measuring value or test function.
c) Illuminant
• Turn the backlight on by pressing the HOLD/ button (7) for 2 seconds. The backlight turns
off automatically after about 15 seconds.
d) Saving energy
• To save energy, the current clamp turns itself off automatically after approximately 15
minutes of inactivity. Press the REL button (6) or turn the product off and then back on again
to wake the device.
- You will hear 5 beeps 1 minute before the current clamp turns itself off.
- The device will give off a long beep just before it turns itself off.
• The automatic shut-off can be switched off. Turn the current clamp off. Press and hold the
REL button to turn the current clamp on. You will hear 5 beeps conrming that the automatic
shut-off has been switched off.
- The automatic shut-off will be enabled again the next time you turn the device on and off.
- You will hear 5 beeps every 15 minutes when the automatic shut-off is disabled.
