CAT I
Measurement category I for measurements on electric and electronic
devices, which are not plugged directly into the mains voltage (for example
devices powered by batteries, etc.).
CAT II
Measurement category I for measurements on electric and electronic
devices which are run by current directly from the mains voltage.
CAT III
Measurement category III for measurements in the building circuitry (for
example plugs or relays).
