b) Opening/closing the exible current sensor
Applying and removing the current clamp to or from non-isolated, dangerously live conductors is not
permitted.
Thepowercircuitmustbeofzero-voltagestatebeforeapplyingorremovingtheexiblesensor.
Use personal protective equipment.
• Inordertoopentheexiblecurrentsensor(5),
rstturntherotarylock(6)anticlockwiseby90º.
• Pulltheendoftheexiblecurrentsensorout
from the rotary lock.
• Embrace the conductor to be measured with the
exiblesensorandthenguideitbackintothe
rotary lock.
• Turn the rotary lock clockwise by 90º. The arrow
markings on the rotary lock and on the housing
must be aligned with each other.
Onlyembraceonesingleconductorwiththeexible
current sensor, as the currents could otherwise
override each other and cause wrong readings.
Never touch the product above the grip
area (4) / above the display during
measurement. The product is very sensitive
and could display incorrect readings in such
a case.
c) Measuring procedure
The measuring range of the product is of max. 3000 A. When measuring more than 3000 A, the display will
show “OL”.
• Switch on the product by pressing and holding the /Hold button (2) for 2 seconds.
• The product immediately starts measuring the alternating current of the electric conductor embraced by the
exiblecurrentsensor(5);thereadingappearsinthedisplay(1).
• Brieypressthe /Hold button to freeze the displayed value. “HOLD” appears in the left corner of the display.
• Brieypressthe /Hold button again in order for the display (1) to show the current value again; “HOLD” will
disappear.
For better readability, press the light button (3) to switch the background light of the display on or off.
• Switch off the product by pressing the /Hold button for 2 seconds.
