The following symbols and letters appear on the device/display.
1 Automatic power-off is enabled
2 Automatic range selection is enabled
3 Diode test symbol
4 Continuity test symbol
5 Maximum value
6 Minimum value symbol
7 Symbol for active data hold function
8 Delta symbol for relative measurement
(= reference measurement)
9 Low-pass lter symbol
10 Battery status indicator
11 V = Volt (unit of electrical voltage), mV = Millivolt (exp.-3)
A = Ampere (unit of electric current)
12 Temperature unit (°Celsius = European, °Fahrenheit = empirical)
13 Symbol for measuring frequency and pulse duration ratio in %

15 Bar graph display with sign for negative measured values
16 Alternating current symbol
17 Prex for negative readings
18 Direct current symbol
19 nF = Nanofarad (exp.-9, unit of electrical capacity)
