f) REMOTE control (only SPS 1560 PFC)
Through the built-in “REMOTE” control connection, the voltage setting can take place with an external voltage source
orthroughanexternallyadjustableresistance(short“poti”)andit´spossibletoswitchtheDCoutputon/off.
The REMOTE connection takes place on the rear REMOTE built-in plug (14).
1Preparation of the remote control connection.
1. Turnthecentralscrewofthesuppliedslide-injackandremovethefront,blackcontactjackbymeansofasmall
turning movement.
2. Drawtheveconnectingcableswithaconductorcross-sectionofatleast22AWG(=0,34mm
2
) through the metal
sleevefromtherear.Solderthesevecablesrmlyandcarefullytothesolderinglugsno.1,2,3,7and8ofthe
blackcontactjacks.
3. Markthelooseendsofthecableswiththecorrespondingcontactnumbers(1-3)toruleoutanyconfusion.
4. Inserttheblackcontactjackinthereverseorderintothemetalsleeveandscrewthesermly.
2Control through external voltage source
Thepowerunitcanberemote-controlledbymeansofanexternalvoltagesourceof0to5V/DCoverthecomplete
output voltage range.
Proceedasfollowsforconnection:
1. Connect the connecting cable of the REMOTE plug as illustrated.
- Connection2tothepluspole(+)ofthevoltagesupplyandconnection3totheminuspole(+)ofthevoltagesupply.
- Connection 1 is not required.
