7. CONNECTION
Before connecting a device (e.g. a charger) to the mains unit, check that the output
voltage of the mains unit (13.8 V/DC) ts the device to be connected.
If this is not the case, the device must not be connected to the mains unit!
Connect the mains unit to a mains socket with a protective ground via the included mains
cable.
E.g. to connect a charger to the mains unit, you may use either the 4 mm sockets (2) on the
top or the XT60-socket (4) on the right side of the mains unit.
You may also use both connections at the same time if the max. output current of the
mains unit is not exceeded.
The enclosed double banana plugs permit placing suitable
devices right on the mains unit, e.g. the multifunctional char-
ger „RS16“ (item no. 1211580), see gure on the right.
For connection of a charger to the XT60 socket, a matching
connection cable is required (not enclosed, can be ordered
separately).
Always observe the proper polarity for connection (plus/+ and minus/-); see printout
next to the connection sockets.
A USB socket (5) is available for the power supply of suitable devices; e.g. for charging a
mobile phone or similar.
