INTENDED USE
This product is designed to charge Ni-Cd/NiMH battery packs with 4 to 8 cells. Ideal for hump packs and
rechargeable receiver batteries. A BEC plug is used for connection. The charger is equipped with a minus
delta V cut-out and a safety timer. This enables a reliable and safe charging process.
Batteries (zinc-carbon, alkaline, etc.) or other rechargeable battery types (lead, Li-ion, etc.) are not to be
connected and recharged.
Only use the charger on standard household AC voltages 100 - 240 V/AC. The plug-in charger is secured
against overloading and short-circuiting.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Persons / Producta)
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous •
playing material for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, •
moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.•
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from •
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
is visibly damaged, -
is no longer working properly, -
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or -
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses. -
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage •
the product.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected •
to the product.
When charging rechargeable batteries, always observe the charging instructions provided by •
the manufacturer of the batteries concerned.
Improper handling (incorrect rechargeable battery type or incorrect polarity) can overload or •
damage the charger. In the worst case, the battery can explode and thereby cause serious
damage.
Keep transmitters (mobile phones, transmitters for models, etc.) away from the charger •
because the resulting radio transmission can disturb the charging process or damage the
charger and thereby also the rechargeable battery.
Never connect the charger to the mains voltage immediately after it has been taken from a •
cold room into a warm room. The condensation which forms can damage the device. Allow the
device to reach room temperature before switching it on.
Do not leave the charger, and the rechargeable batteries that are connected to it, unattended •
while in operation.
Miscellaneousb)
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.•

CONNECTION /START-UP / CHARGING
Always pay attention to the polarity when connecting.
While charging, it is perfectly normal for the battery pack to become „slightly“ warm.
Never cover the charger, to avoid possible damage due to overheating.
Connect the rechargeable battery pack to the charger’s connector.1.

charging process starts.
If the rechargeable battery pack has the correct polarity, is not defective (high-resistance/disconnected) 3.
and connected to the mains supply, the status indicator lights up red. The charging process starts
automatically.
The charger is equipped with a „minus Delta V“ cut-off, which automatically terminates the charging 4.
process when the charge end voltage is reached. A green light indicates that the charging process is
complete. The charger switches to the trickle charging mode.
Stop the charging process immediately. Unplug the charger from the mains socket and then remove the 5.
rechargeable batteries from the device. To remove the rechargeable battery, press the latch hook and pull
the connector system in two.
For NiCd rechargeable batteries, it is recommended that the battery pack is only connected if it
is discharged, to ensure correct operation even after a long time (memory effect). Apart from this,
rechargeable batteries should be discharged / charged once a month (self-discharge, capacity loss).
STATUS INDICATOR
An indicator lamp shows the current device state. The following displays are possible:
Display Status
1x Flash Charger performs a short self-test after it is plugged in
Off No rechargeable battery connected, no voltage
Red Charging in process
Green Charging process complete, the rechargeable battery can be removed
Flashing red Rechargeable battery is defective or deep discharged
DISPOSAL
Producta)
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
Rechargeable batteriesb)
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores
or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
