NPS-45 USB NOTEBOOK POWER SUPPLY UNIT
Item No. 51 40 00
INTENDED USE1.
This product is designed to supply USB devices and other electric devices such as notebooks or netbooks with
power, providing six different output voltages to select from. The connected load’s current consumption must not
exceed the maximum output rating of the product. Power is supplied via a standard mains socket (100 - 240 V/AC,
50/60 Hz). The product should only be used in dry indoor areas. The product features both short-circuit and overload
protection.
This product fulls European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
CE conformity has been veried and the relevant statements and documents have been deposited at the
manufacturer.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modication of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to

OPERATION4.
Connecting an electric load
Set the output voltage on the back of the power supply unit. To do this, slide the switch into the desired 1.
position using a tool (e.g. a screwdriver or tip of a pen). Make sure the switch engages properly when set
into position.
The power supply unit’s output voltage must match the input voltage of the electric consumer.
Select one of the six low-voltage plugs matching the input socket and polarity of the electric consumer (see 2.
table).
Connect the plug to the connector at the end of the output cable. Voltage reversal of the output plug is not 3.
possible for security reasons. The inner contact is positive (+), the outer negative (–).
Disconnect the power supply unit from the mains socket before replacing the low-voltage plug or
resetting the output voltage.
Connect the low-voltage plug to the switched-off consumer.4.
Connect the power cord’s low-voltage plug with the matching socket of the power supply unit.5.
Connect the mains plug to a standard mains socket (100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz). The LED on the top of the 6.
power supply unit indicates operational readiness.
Put the power supply unit onto a solid, ame-retardant surface and ensure that the power supply unit is7.
sufcientlyventilated.
Now switch the connected consumer on. If it does not function properly, switch it off immediately and disconnect 8.
it from the power supply unit.
Remove the power supply unit from the mains when it is no longer in use.9.
Connecting a USB load
Connect the switched-off USB device to the power supply unit’s USB port.1.
Connect the power cord’s low-voltage plug with the matching socket of the power supply unit.2.
Connect the mains plug to a standard mains socket (100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz). The LED on the top of the 3.
power supply unit indicates operational readiness.
Put the power supply unit onto a solid, ame-retardant surface and ensure that the power supply unit is4.
sufcientlyventilated.
Now switch the connected USB device on. If it does not function properly, switch it off immediately and 5.
disconnect it from the power supply unit.
Remove the power supply unit from the mains when it is no longer in use.6.
USB devices and other electric loads can be operated in parallel. However, make sure that the power
input of the connected devices does not exceed the power supply unit’s total power output.
MAINTENANCE5.
When cleaning, the power adapter must be disconnected from mains socket and electrical loads. Only use dry and
soft cloth to clear the housing of the power adapter. Do not use abrasive or solvents!
DISPOSAL6.
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and utilise
natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to relevant
facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
