Instructions

SETUP AND USE
• Carefully insert the endoscope (not included with the product, available separately) into the
connection socket (1).
Ensure that the endoscope connector and the connection socket (1) are in the
correct orientation, otherwise the endoscope and the camera probe may be
damaged, which will void the warranty/guarantee! Do not use any force when
connecting the endoscope.
• Turn the fastening ring (2) clockwise to secure the connection between the endoscope and
the camera probe.
• To remove the endoscope from the camera probe, turn the fastening ring anticlockwise
and then carefully remove the endoscope from the camera probe. Refer to the operating
instructions for the endoscope.
• Remove the protective cap (11) from the probe tip (10).
• Guide the camera neck (8) into the desired opening to search for problems such as
technical issues.
The product must only be used in facilities and installations that do not carry a live
voltage; the same applies when submerging the device into liquids (no acids or
alkaline solutions), otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electrical shock!
Observe all necessary precautions when using the camera probe, e.g. when
searching for a fault on a machine. Improper use not only carries the risk of
damaging the camera probe; there is also the risk of serious injury (e.g. due to
rotating machine parts).
The two-way camera probe (item no. 1340786) can only move in two directions. It
only features one rotary knob to control the direction.
The four-way camera probe (item no. 1361298) can move in four directions as it
has two rotary knobs.
• The probe tip (10) with the integrated camera can be moved and aligned in one direction
via the movable joint (9) using the rotary knob "R /L " (5).
• Use the xing knob "F " (6) to control how easily the rotary knob "R /L " turns. This also
prevents the joint from moving itself due to the spring effect.
• Use the rotary knob "D / U" (7) to move and adjust the probe tip with the integrated
camera at a right angle to the rst plane of motion via the movable joint (only for item no.
1361298).
• Use the xing lever "F " (3) to control how easily the rotary knob "D / U" turns. This also
prevents the joint from moving itself due to the spring effect.
• To align the camera radially, turn the handle piece or the entire camera neck such that the
endoscope does not need to be turned. To align the probe tip radially, turn the camera tip
with the camera neck to move the axis left or right and change the camera's observation
angle. If you are using the product with item no. 1340786, observe the scale markings
(0 - 180°) to determine the angle of rotation and the overall orientation.
Please note that a 100% mechanical xation of the joint is not possible for safety
reasons and to protect the joint.
• Carefully move the necessary parts to move the camera probe or move the camera neck
forwards or backwards so that the desired image on the endoscope display is visible.
• If the desired image is not visible, try using another route to reach the position that you wish
to inspect with the camera.
Never apply force when moving the camera neck, as this may damage the
product, which will void the warranty/guarantee! Protect the camera neck against
sharp edges and do not let the camera in the probe tip come into contact with
sharp or pointed edges/objects.
• Use the endoscope to control the brightness of the probe tip's built-in LEDs.
• Carefully clean the product after use (see "Cleaning" section).
• Place the protective cap (11) onto the probe tip (10) when you are not using the product.
Put the camera probe back into the storage case provided. Store the product in a cool,
clean and dry place.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the
product, therefore never open/dismantle it.
• Clean the product carefully using a soft, clean cloth. If the product is very dirty, the cloth can
be dampened with clean, lukewarm water.
• Do not press too hard on the glass surface of the camera on the probe tip, as this may
cause scratch marks that impair the quality of the image.
• You can use the cleaning set provided to clean the product.
• Do not use any aggressive detergents or chemicals to clean the product as these may
cause discolouration or damage the product.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
