7. Unpacking
Check that all parts are complete and intact.
Damaged parts must not be used for safety reasons. If any parts are damaged, contact our customer
service for assistance.
8. Charging the battery
Charge the battery fully before using it for the rst time.
The battery is automatically charged when the device is connected to the mains.
9. Making measurements
In oscilloscope mode, the test signal should only be applied to the internal conductor. The external
conductor (reference earth) is connected to the earth potential (protective earth conductor)
Check the measuring device and test leads for signs of damage before each measurement. Never take measure-
ments if the protective insulation is damaged (torn, missing, etc.).
• To prevent an electric shock, do not touch the measuring points when taking measurements, either directly or
indirectly.
• Only connect the test leads that you require to take measurements. For safety reasons, remove all unnecessary
test leads from the device before taking a measurement.
• To prevent the risk of a fatal electric shock, do not touch any area past the grip markings on the test probes when
taking a measurement.
• Do not use the device immediately prior to, during or just after a storm (risk of electric shock / power surge). Make
surethatyourhands,shoes,clothing,theoor,themeasuringdevice/testleads,circuitsandcircuitcomponents
are dry.

Pay attention to the necessary safety information, regulations and protective measures for your own safety.
Before each measurement, make sure that the device is not set to a different measurement range/mode.
Always start each measurement using the largest measuring range. If necessary, switch the next lowest measure-
ment range. Before changing the measurement range, remove the test probes from the object that you are measur-
ing. “OL” indicates that the measurement range has been exceeded.
