8. Setup

a) Connection

• Use the USB cable to connect the micro USB port (5) on the

charger to a USB port (computer, charging hub or charger

withaUSBvoltageof5V/DC).TheLEDs(4/7)willturnon

briey.

 Connect thechargertoa USB3.1(or above)port.The

currents delivered by USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are not

sufcienttopowerthecharger.Tousethefastcharging

function, a USB power source with an output current of at

least 1 A is required (e.g. USB power adapter).

b) Inserting a rechargeable battery and setting

the battery type

Insert a suitable rechargeable battery into the battery slot (1),

ensuringthatitisinsertedinthecorrectpolarity(seepositive/+

andnegative/-markingsinthebatteryslotandonthebattery).

• Bydefault,NiMH andNiCdrechargeable batteriesand 3.7

V Li-ion batteries are automatically charged with a charging

current of 500 mA.

• To switch to quick charge mode (with a 1 A charging current),

press the SELECT button (2). The 1 A charging current indi-

cator (8) will turn on.
