OPERATION
Charge the internal rechargeable battery completely before rst-time use.
Before charging, make sure the USB power source can provide sufcient
charging current, as the device could get damaged otherwise. Do not connect
the USB port of, for example, a computer, keyboard or USB hub without
separate power adapter for charging the internal rechargeable battery, since
these do not provide sufcient current.
Make sure the specications of the connected devices match the
specications of the product (see technical data).
Do not short-circuit the USB outputs.
a) Charging the internal rechargeable battery
• Connect the micro USB plug of the supplied cable to the 5V-IN input (4).
• Connect the USB plug to a suitable USB power source (e.g. USB power adapter with
1000 mA output current).
• The charge status indicator (6) begins ashing.
• Once all four LEDs light up steadily, the internal rechargeable battery is fully charged.
• Disconnect the cable from the product and the power source once the built-in battery has
been fully charged. The product is now ready for use.
Charging takes approx. 14 – 15 hours (via USB), depending on the charging status of
the rechargeable battery.
You may also charge the built-in battery using the solar panel (5). To do so, place the
product with the solar panel facing upwards directly into sunlight. The solar panel is also
able to produce power from articial light.
For infrequent use, we recommend fully charging the internal rechargeable battery once
every four months to maintain maximum performance.
b) Checking the charge status
Press the ON/OFF button (7) in order to display the charging status for approx. 10 seconds.
No LED lights up: internal rechargeable battery empty
1 LED lights up: internal rechargeable battery is charged 1 – 25 %
2 LEDs light up: internal rechargeable battery is charged 25 – 50 %
3 LEDs light up: internal rechargeable battery is charged 50 – 75 %
4 LEDs light up: internal rechargeable battery is charged 75 – 100 %
c) Charging mobile devices
• Connect your mobile device to one of the USB outputs.
The 1A-OUT USB output (3) supplies a charging current of max. 1000 mA.
The 2A-OUT USB output (8) supplies a charging current of max. 2000 mA.
• Charging begins automatically. If charging does not start automatically, press the ON/OFF
button (7).
• Monitor the charging process. Once the charging has been completed, disconnect the USB
cable from the product and the mobile device.
d) Big LED light
• Press the ON/OFF button (7) briey two times in a row (double-click) in order to switch the
big LED light (1) on or off.
• When the big LED light is turned on, press the ON/OFF button briey once to change the
light mode.
Available modes: Full luminosity → Reduced luminosity → Stroboscope
• Approximate operating time with fully charged battery:
- Full luminosity (100 % brightness) – approx. 20 hours
- Reduced luminosity (50 % brightness) – approx. 40 hours
e) Mini LED ashlight
• Briey press the ON/OFF button (7).
• Then press and hold the ON/OFF button for approx. 2 seconds. The mini LED ashlight (2)
turns on for approx. 10 seconds, and then turns off automatically.
• Alternatively, you may switch off the mini LED ashlight by pressing and holding the
ON/OFF button again (for approx. 2 seconds).
