b) Persons / product
The device is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
Never cover the product during use. Make sure you have enough ventilation to ensure
sufcient heat dissipation.
Never place the product on a tablecloth or carpet. When charging, place the product on
a heat-resistant refractory surface. It is normal that a certain amount of heat is generated
during charging.
The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
Only power the product using the power adapter provided.
Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply.
Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the power
adapter complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use
the grips on the plug.
When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged
by sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
For safety reasons, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket during storms.
The product must be easily accessible at all times.
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one.
The condensation that forms may destroy the product. The power adapter may also cause a fatal
electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it into
use. This may take several hours.
Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects lled with liquid next to the device.
If liquid or a foreign object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, rst power down
the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug
from the mains socket. Do not operate the product any more afterwards, but take it to a
specialist workshop.
Always comply with the accident prevention regulations of the Federation of Commercial
Professional Associations for electrical installations and facilities when using the product in
commercial facilities.
Never plug in or unplug or operate the product with damp or wet hands. There is a risk of
fatal electric shock!
Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have
concerns about safety.
Maintenance, modications and repairs must only be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.

c) Rechargeable batteries
Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the rechargeable batteries.
Remove the batteries when you are not using the device to prevent them from leaking. Leaking
or damaged batteries may cause acid burns when they come into contact with skin. Therefore,
use suitable protective gloves to handle damaged batteries.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as they
constitute a choking hazard for children and pets.
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into re.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause an explosion!
Never short circuit the contacts/connections of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the
batteries into re. There is a danger of re and explosion!
Never leave the batteries to charge unsupervised.
The instructions of the manufacturer of the corresponding batteries must be observed for
the charging process.
Misuse (too high charging current, wrong polarity, shorting of charging stations) of the
charger may overload or destroy the batteries. In the worst case, the battery can explode
and thereby cause serious damage.

Intended use
This battery charger can charge up to 16 round cells AA or AAA and 2 pieces 9V block batteries
at the same time. The charging status can be read off the LC display. The charger has reverse
polarity protection, overcharge protection and trickle charge. Power is supplied by the power
adapter included.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, re or electric shock. Read the operating
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. If you pass the product on to a third party,
please hand over these operating instructions as well.
