9 Command Line Interface
This section provides some basic instructions for using Command Line Interface to
configure the Switch. The system provides CLI user interface via console or telnet.
There are five different prompts of command modes: User, Enable, Config, Config-
vlan and Config-interface.

9.1 Log in
When you connect the system via CLI, the system will prompt you to enter a valid user
name and password. The default log-in name is “admin” with no preset password.
The user mode is the default login level for a valid user account. After you log in, type in
“?” or “help” followed by “Enter” key to display a full list of usable commands with
explanations of their functions.

Show system configuration
The table above lists and explains all the available commands. Users can refer to the
table when configuring the Switch management agent.
Type in “enable” followed by “Enter” key to access the “Enable mode”. To access enable
mode, you need a read/write privilege level user account.
9.2 Show commands
Where appropriate, a status report can be shown by typing “show” followed by the
parameter name.
