XTS-IP / XTSc-IP Station User Guide December 2005
Directory Dial
Access to the directory will be via the Phonebook key on the Navigation
button of the IP7024D telephone.
» Pressing the Phonebook key once will activate the directory display
and will simultaneously display the first name in the directory list
(alphabetical listing - descending order by default).
» Pressing the Phonebook key again while in the directory will advance
the display to the next name in the directory (in descending order).
» Pressing the Menu key while in the Phonebook mode will move the
display back one listing per key press. Pressing the menu key at the
first entry in the directory list will cause the display to move to the
last entry in the directory list in a round robin mode.
» Pressing the OK Button will dial the number associated with the
directory name displayed on the IP7024D.
The IP7024D allows a user to activate and navigate the Phonebook from
either the navigation key or via the Directory Dial feature operation as
currently supported by digital phones of the XTS-IP / XTSc-IP systems.
This means that:
» The user can either use the navigation key or the Directory Dial
feature code of 680 to access the Phonebook.
» If 680 is used to access the Phonebook, the user initially types a
letter of the alphabet to navigate to the beginning of that alpha
character's listing, then scrolls with the * and # keys to select the
desired name, then presses SPEED to dial.
Backlight Display
The IP7024D phones are enhanced to allow backlight of the LCD. The
backlight feature can be set to always be on, always be off, or on when
the phone is in use. If the setting is “on when the phone is in use”, the
backlight will remain lit after going to the idle state for the period of
time established in the Backlight Display Timer programming.
Operation
The Backlight Display option can be selected by a station user by using
feature code 637 to cycle through the Off, On, and In Use options.
