Settings (WLAN Menu)
The Settings screen allows you to configure your device or turn on the WLAN log for
diagnostics purposes.
Opening the screen
➊ Click WLAN > Settings on the menu bar at the top of the Vodafone Mobile Broadband
Hotspot Settings page.
The WLAN Settings Screen
The WLAN Settings screen contains two items:
Broadcast Network Name (SSID)
Broadcast Network Name (also known as SSID broadcast) causes the device to send the
Network Name (SSID) out where it can be picked up by nearby computers. This is what you
see when you “View Available Wireless Networks.”
Disabling SSID broadcast provides additional security but you will have to re-enable it if you
lose your automatic connection.
➤ Click the checkbox to enable or disable Broadcast Network Name and click Apply.
WLAN log enable
This checkbox turns on or off the WLAN Log that can be accessed from the WLAN Status
screen.
➤ Click the checkbox to enable or disable the WLAN Log and click Apply.
