Duringthefirstboot,vMApromptsyoutospecifywhethertouseaDHCPserverorastaticIPaddresswhen
itstarts.TheDHCPserverassignsanetw orkaddress,allowingyoutorunthevirtualmachinewithoutsetup.
Thisnetworkaddressmightchangeafterthevirtualmachinehasbeenpowered
offlongerthantheDHCP
leasetime.Mostserverapplicationsshouldbeconfiguredtoastaticnetworkaddressthatisconstantand
well‐known.

YoucanconfigureastaticIPaddressfromthevMAconsoleorthewebUI.

4Whenprompted,specifywhetheryouneedaproxyservertoreachtheInternet.Ifyouansweryes,type
theIPaddressandtheportnumberofyourproxyserver.

procedure.
