Run Workflows on vSphere Inventory Objects
You can automate management tasks in vSphere by running Orchestrator workows directly on objects
from the vSphere inventory.
Prerequisites
n
Verify that you have congured at least one Orchestrator server to work with the same Single Sign-On
instance to which both the vCenter Server and vSphere Web Client are pointing. You must also ensure
that Orchestrator is registered as a vCenter Serverextension. You register Orchestrator as a
vCenter Server extension when you specify a user account that has the necessary privileges to manage
vCenter Server extensions. For more information, see Installing and Conguring
VMware vRealize Orchestrator.
n
Verify that you have workows associated with the vSphere inventory objects. See Associate
Workows with vSphere Inventory Object Types,” on page 147.
Procedure
1 Click vCenter.
2 Under Inventory Lists, click an inventory category.
3 Right-click the object that you want to run the workow on, and navigate to All vRealize Orchestrator

4 Click the workow that you want to run.
N If you cannot nd the expected workows, you might need to associate them to the specied
vSphere inventory object.
