Configure Timeout Settings
You can configure the timeout intervals for vCenter Server operations. These intervals specify the amount
of time after which the vSphere Web Client times out.
Prerequisites
Required privilege: Global.Settings
Procedure
1 In the vSphere Client, navigate to the vCenter Server instance.
2 Select the Configure tab.
3 Under Settings, select General.
4 Click Edit.
5 Select Timeout settings.
6 In Normal operations, type the timeout interval in seconds for normal operations.
Do not set the value to zero (0).
7 In Long operations, enter the timeout interval in minutes for long operations.
Do not set the value to zero (0).
8 Click OK.
9 Restart the vCenter Server system for the changes to take effect.
Configure Logging Options
You can configure the amount of detail that vCenter Server collects in log files.

Procedure
1 In the vSphere Client, navigate to the vCenter Server instance.
2 Select the Configure tab.
3 Under Settings, select General.
4 Click Edit.
