2 Click New Storage Cost Profile.
3 Enter a name and, optionally, a description.
4 Type a value for the daily cost per gigabyte of storage in the Storage Cost (per GB) text box.

Click the Save icon ( ).
Assign a Storage Cost Proļ¬le to a Datastore
Fabric administrators can assign a storage cost profile to a datastore to apply those costs to all machines
provisioned on that datastore.
Prerequisites
Create a Storage Cost Profile.
Procedure
1 Select Infrastructure > Compute Resources > Compute Resources.
2 Point to a compute resource and click Edit.
3 Click the Configuration tab.
4 Locate the datastore to which to assign the storage cost profile in the Storage table.

Click the Edit icon (
).
6 Select a storage cost profile from the Storage Cost Profile drop-down menu.
The cost for the datastore is populated with the value from the storage cost profile.

Click the Save icon ( ).
8 Click OK.
If there are any reservations that include this datastore, its cost is also updated based on the cost in the
storage cost profile.
Preparing for vApp Provisioning
You must perform some configuration outside of vRealize Automation to prepare for machine
provisioning. To provision and manage machines in vCloud Director by using vRealize Automation, you
prepare the organization virtual data center with templates and customization objects.
To provision vCloud Director vApps using vRealize Automation cloning, the organization requires a vApp
template consisting of one or more virtual machine resources. vRealize Automation vApp blueprints and
vApp component blueprints reference these resources. They also provide the ability to further configure
machines during the provisioning and management process.
