For the same vCloud Director instance, you should not set up both organization-specific endpoints and
single endpoints that access all organizations.
vRealize Automation uses a proxy agent to manage vSphere resources.
Create a vCloud Endpoint for vCloud Air OnDemand or Subscription Gen 2
An IaaS administrator can create a vCloud endpoint for vCloud Air OnDemand or Subscription Gen 2.

Prerequisites

Log in to the vRealize Automation console as an IaaS administrator.

Verify that you have account administrator access to vCloud Air OnDemand.

Store User Credentials for vCloud Endpoints.
Procedure
1 Select Infrastructure > Endpoints > Endpoints.
2 Select New Endpoint > Cloud > vApp (vCloud).
3 Enter a name and, optionally, a description.
4 Type the URL for the endpoint in the Address text box.
The URL specifies the actual OnDemand API URL for your environment.
For vCloud Air OnDemand, the address must be specified in the following format:
https://region-name.vchs.mycompany.com/api/compute
a Log in to vCloud Air OnDemand using administrator credentials.
b Select the Organization vDC.
c Click the vCloud Director API URL link to display a link such as https://region-
name.vchs.mycompany.com:443/api/compute.
d Enter the first part of the resultant link text, for this example
https://us-california-1-3.vchs.mycompany.com:443/api/compute, in the Address text
box.
5 Select the Credentials for the endpoint.
The credentials must be that of thevCloud Air OnDemand account administrator.
