2 Click New and select Routed from the drop-down menu.
3 Enter a name and, optionally, a description.
4 Select an existing network prole from the External Network drop-down menu.
5 Accept the default IPAM endpoint value for the supplied internal VMware IPAM provider or select
another IPAM provider endpoint, such as Infoblox, that you have imported and registered in
vRealize Orchestrator.
N External IPAM is not available for on-demand NAT and routed networks.
6 Enter the subnet mask in the Subnet mask text box that is associated with the external network prole.
For example, enter 255.255.0.0.
7 Enter a value in the Range subnet mask text box to determine how ranges are generated by the
Generate Ranges option on the IP Ranges page.
For example, enter 255.255.255.0.
8 Enter the rst available IP address in the Base IP text box. The Base IP and range subnet mask seings
are used to generate ranges.
For example, enter 120.120.0.1.
9 Click the DNS tab.
10 Enter DNS and WINS values as needed.
The DNS and WINS elds are optional if you are using an internal IPAM endpoint. If you are using an
external IPAM endpoint, the DNS and WINS values are provided by the external IPAM provider.

The DNS sux is used in DNS name registration and DNS name resolution.

Configure Routed Network Profile IP Ranges
You can dene one or more ranges of static IP addresses for use in provisioning a network.
During provisioning, every new routed network allocates the next available range and uses it as its IP space.

“Specify Routed Network Prole Information,” on page 189.
Procedure
1 Click the Network Ranges tab to create a new network range or select an existing network range.
Details about the selected range appear, including each name, description, and start and end IP address.
