What to do next
You can now dene network ranges for IP addresses to complete the network prole denition.
Configure External Network Profile IP Ranges For Registered IPAM Endpoint
You can dene one or more network ranges of static IP addresses in the network prole for use in
provisioning a machine. If you do not specify a range, you can use a network prole as a network
reservation policy to select a reservation network path for a virtual machine network card (vNIC).
You can dene IP ranges by using the IP addresses that an external IPAM provider supplies.
vRealize Automation only saves external IPAM range IDs in the database, not range details. If you edit a
network prole on this page or on a blueprint, vRealize Automation calls the IPAM service to get range
details based on the selected range IDs.
Prerequisites
“Specify External Network Prole Information For Registered IPAM Endpoint,” on page 185.
Procedure
1 Click the Network Ranges tab to create a new network range or select an existing network range.
Details about the selected range appear, including each name, description, and start and end IP address.
Status-related information is also provided.
2 Select an address space from the list of all addresses spaces that are available for the endpoint from the
Address space drop-down menu.
3 Click Add and select one or more available network ranges for the species address space.
4 Click OK.
The IP range name appears in the dened ranges list. The IP addresses in the range appear in the
dened IP addresses list.
The uploaded IP addresses appear on the IP Addresses page when you click Apply or after you save
and then edit the network prole.
5 Click OK to complete the network prole.
What to do next
You can assign a network prole to a network path in a reservation or a blueprint architect can specify the
network prole in a blueprint.
Create a NAT Network Profile
You can create an on-demand NAT network prole to dene a NAT network and assign ranges of static IP
and DHCP addresses to it.
Procedure
1 Specify NAT Network Prole Information on page 187
The network prole identies the NAT network properties, underlying external network prole, NAT
type, and other values used to provision the network.
2 Congure NAT Network Prole IP Ranges on page 188
You can dene one or more ranges of static IP addresses for use in provisioning a network.
