IfyoudeletenodeDinthissampledirectorytree,nodeBstaysintactbecausenodeC

dependencies(nodeB).

associatedwiththevirtualmachines.Deletionofinternalnodesonlyoccursasaside
effectofdeletingthevirtualmachinesassociatedwiththosenodes.
Blueboxesindicatedeployeddirectories
whileyellowboxesindicatetheselected
virtualmachine.Thegraycoloristhedefaultcolorfordirectories.
Ifyoumovethepointeroverabox,youcanseevariousdetailsincludingtheamountof
spacethevirtualmachineorinternalnodeconsumesandthetotalamountofspace
reclaimedwiththe
removalofallattachedor“hidden”nodes.Forexample,ifyousee
Size:277MB(554MB),thefirstnumber(277)reflectsthespaceoftheselectednodeand
thenumberinparentheses(554)reflectsthetotalspace.Thistotalamountiscalculated
byaddingthespaceofthenodeand
allassociatednodestotherightoftheselected
node.
PreviouslydeployedandcurrentlydeployedvirtualmachinesshowLastDeployed
information.Internalnodesdonotdisplaythisinformation.
Arevertreferenceappearsasaturquoisebox.Thisreferencepointimpliesanother
directory(createdbyafullcloneoperationonadifferent
datastore)existsoutsideofthe
displayeddirectorytreebutusesadirectorylinkedtothisrevertreferenceasarevert
point.Thisdependencyaffectsyourabilitytodeletedirectories.
Todeleteadirectorylinkedtoarevertreference,deletethevirtualmachineassociated
withtherevertreferenceandthedescendantsof
thedirectory.
