EnteringStandbyMode–Hostisintheprocessofenteringstandbymodein
VirtualCenter .Hostiswaitingforallvirtualmachinestopowerofforisputtingthe
operatingsysteminstandbymode.Youcannotperformmostoperationsonthis
host,includingunregisteringavirtualmachinefromthehost.
RemovedfromVirtualCenter–HostisremovedfromVirtualCenter.Although
youcannotusethishost,forceundeployanyvirtualmachinesthatStage Manager
hadreferencestoonthathost.Afterforceundeployingthevirtualmachines,you
canunpreparethehost.See“PreparingandUnpreparingESXServerHosts”on

thehostbacktoVirtualCenter,youseeasecondhostwiththe
samename.Youcanonlyusethissecondhost.

enteringthismode.
Stage Managerdoesnotusethehostfornewprovisioning,butattemptstopower
offregisteredvirtualmachinessucceed.
InMaintenanceMode–VirtualCenteradministratorputsthehostinmaintenance
mode.Thehostcannothavepowered‐onvirtualmachines.Thehostcanhave
suspendedorpoweredoffvirtualmachines.
Stage Managerdoesnotusethehostfornewvirtualmachines,butyoucan
undeployexistingvirtualmachines.
AgentNotResponding–Stage Manager Serversystemcannotcontactthe
Stage Manageragentrunningonthehost.Thehostmightbepoweredoff,
uninstalled,hung,orinaccessibleonthenetwork(forexample,afirewallblocks
contactwiththeagent).Stage Managerrenamesthedefaultportgroupwhenthe
conditionoccurs.
MovedOutofDatacenter–Hostisoutofreachbecausesomeonemovedthehost
toadifferentdatacenter.
