To consolidate a template
1Intheleftpane,clickVMTemplates.
Thetemplatemustbe
undeployedandunpublished.See“Undeploying
Templates”onpage 47and“UnpublishingTemplates”onpage 60.
2MovethepointeroverthetemplatenameandchooseConsolidatefromthemenu.
3 SelectadatastoreandclickOK.
Editing Basic Template Properties
Youcanupdatethebasicpropertiesofatemplate.Toupdatepropertiesfromthe
ResourcesareaoftheStageManagerWebconsole,see“EditingTemplateandVirtual

1Intheleftpane,clickVMTemplates.
2MovethepointeroverthetemplatenameandchoosePropertiesfromthemenu.
3Reviewandedittheappropriateproperties:
Name–Namethatcontainsalphanumericcharacters(a–z,A–Z,0–9),
hyphens,underscores,orperiods.Maximumlengthis64characters.
Description–(Optional)Maximumnumberofcharactersis128.
Datastore–Storagelocationofthetemplate.
