Adding Virtual Machines to Existing Configurations
FromtheVirtualMachinestabofaconfiguration,youcanaddvirtualmachinesbased
onStage Managertemplates.
OnlyStageManageradministratorshaveaccesstoanImportVMfromVirtualCenter
optionwhenaddingvirtualmachinestoaconfiguration.See“ImportingVirtual

To add a virtual machine based on a Stage Manager template

2MovethepointerovertheservicenameandchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
Ifyouwanttoaccessdetailsonanarchivedconfigurationinsteadofanactive
lifecycleconfiguration,clicktheArchivetab.
3MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
4Click
theAddVirtualMachinebutton.
5Providevirtualmachinedetails:
Namethatcontainsalphanumericcharacters(a–z,A–Z,0–9),hyphens,
underscores,orperiods.Maximumlengthis15charactersforWindows
virtualmachinesand64charactersforUNIXandLinuxvirtualmachines.
(Optional)Description.
Templatetobasethevirtualmachineon.Ifaknowntemplatedoesnotappear
inthelist,verifythattheStage Manageradministratorpublishedthe
template.
Fullorlinkedcloneofthetemplate.TheFullClonecheckboxactivatesthe
datastorelistwhereyoucanselectthestoragelocationofthevirtualmachine.
