Importing Configurations
Youcanimport(copy)aconfigurationandallitsvirtualmachinefilesfromSMBshare.
ExportandimportoperationsrequireanopenSMBportontheESXServerhosts.
AlthoughtheinstallationoftheStage Managersoftwaretakescareofopeningthatport,
beawareofthisrequirementincasesomeonecloses
theportaftertheinstallation.To
checktheportstatus,usetheesxcfg-firewall -q smbClientcommandoneach
host.

To import a configuration
1Intheleftpane,clickServices.
2MovethepointerovertheservicenameandchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
3Click
theImportConfigurationbutton.
4Providetheconfigurationlocationandcredentials:
UNCnameofthedirectory(relativeto theStage ManagerServersystem)from
whereyouwanttoimporttheconfiguration.Asamplepathis
\\10.6.1.246\ExportConfigs.UseEnglishcharactersfortheUNCpath.
Usernameandpasswordfortheimportdirectory.
