To display performance data for a View Connection Server instance or security server
IntheOperationsManagerconsole,gotoMonitoring\VMwareView\Performance,selecttheConnection
ServerRolePerformanceDataorSecureGatewayRolePerformanceDataview,andselecttherequireddata
sets.
Display Information About an Alert
YoucanusetheHealthExplorertodisplayinformationaboutalertsthatthehealthmonitorshaveraisedfora
ViewConnectionServergroup.
To display active alerts for View components
1IntheOperationsManagerconsole,gotoMonitoring\VMwareViewandselecttheActiveAlertsview.
2 Selectanalert()todisplaytheknowledgearticleforthatalert.
Restart a Service
TheservicecomponentmonitorsalertyouifaViewcomponentservicestopsworking.Youcanrestarta
servicefromtheHealthExplorer.
To restart a service following an alert
1IntheOperationsManagerconsole,gotoMonitoring\VMwareViewandselecttheGroupStateviewor
theGroupNodeStateview.
2RightclickonaViewConnectionServergroup
ormemberthatisinthealertstate()andselect
Open > HealthExplorer.
3IntheHealthExplorer,selectthealertandclickRestarttheserviceintheknowledgearticle.
Exclude a Domain from Connectivity Monitoring
TheDomainConnectivityHealthmonitorcheckstheconnectivitybetweenaViewConnectionServerhost’s
domainandanytrusteddomains.Toavoidseeingalertsforadomain,youcanexcludethedomainfrombeing
monitored.
To exclude a domain from being monitored for connectivity
1IntheOperationsManagerconsole,gotoMonitoring\VMwareView,andselecttheGroupStateviewor
theGroupNodeStateview.
2Rightclickontheconnectionserver,andselectOpen>HealthExplorer.
3RightclickontheDomainConnectivityHealthentryfortheConnectionServerintheHealthExplorer
andselectMonitorProperties.
4UndertheOverridestab,clickOverrideandselecttheoptionforallobjectsof
thesameclass.
5IntheOverridePropertieswindow,selecttheOverridecheckboxfortheDomainExcludeListparameter,
enterthenameoftheexcludeddomainintheOverrideSettingfield,andselecttheEnforcedcheckbox.
Ifyouwanttoexcludemorethanonedomain,usespacestoseparatethedomainnames.
