Chapter 8 Component Policies
AllowSingleSignon Determinesifsinglesign‐on(SSO)isusedtoconnect
userstoViewManagerdesktops.Whenenabled,usersare
onlyrequiredtoentertheircredentialswhenconnecting
toViewClientorViewPortal.Whendisabled,usersmust
reauthenticatewhentheremoteconnectionismade.
ThispropertyrequiresthattheSecure
Authentication
componentofViewAgentisinstalledonthedesktop,and
isenabledbydefault.
ConnectionTicketTimeout SpecifiesthetimeinsecondsforwhichtheView
connectionticketisvalid.Theconnectionticketisusedby
ViewclientswhenconnectingtoViewAgentandisused
forverificationandsinglesign‐onpurposes.
Forsecurityreasons,theseticketsareonlyvalidwithin
thespecifiedtimeperiod.Ifthispropertyisnotexplicitly
set,adefaultof900secondsapplies.
CredentialFilterExceptions Specifiestheexecutablefilesthatarenotallowedtoload
theagentCredentialFilter.Filenamesmustnotincludea
pathorsuffix.Useasemicolonto
separatemultiple
filenames.
Connect Using DNS Name DeterminesiftheViewConnection ServerusestheDNS
nameofthemachinetoconnectto,ratherthanitsIP
address.ThisisoftenusedinaNAT/Firewallsituation
whentheViewClientorViewConnectionServercannot
usethevirtualdesktopIPaddressdirectly.
Thisproperty

Disable Time Zone
Synchronization
DeterminesifthetimezoneoftheViewManagerdesktop
issynchronizedwiththatoftheconnectedclient.When
enabled,thispropertywillonlyapplyiftheDisable
time zone forwardingpropertyoftheViewClient
Configurationpolicyisnotsettodisabled.
