Preparing the Guest System
Theguestsystemisthevirtualmachinethatprovidesthebasisforeverytypeofvirtual
desktopdeployment.Theprocedureforcreatinganewvirtualmachineexceedsthe
scopeofthisdocument,buttheselectedvirtualmachinemustadheretothe
requirementsdescribedin“SystemRequirements”onpage 14.
Onceyouhave
selectedaguestsystemyoumustensurethatthefollowing
prerequisitesareinplace:
ThelatestversionofVMwareToolsareinstalled(providedwithVI3.5).
Thenetworkingsettings(proxies,andsoforth)areproperlyconfiguredandthat
theguestsystemisattachedtoadomain.
ViewManagerAgentisinstalled.
Youhaveadministrativerightstotheguestsystem.
Installing the View Agent on the Guest System

deviceredirection.YoumustinstallViewAgentontheguestsysteminordertoallow
theViewConnectionServertocommunicatewiththedesktop.
