Delete a Desktop
Youcandeleteanindividualdesktoporadesktoppool.
Toremoveunmanageddesktops,youmustunregisterthem.See“UnregisteraDesktop
Source.”
To delete an unmanaged desktop pool
1OntheDesktopstab,selectanunmanageddesktoppoolordesktopandclick
Delete.
Awarningmessageappearsthatyouaretryingtopermanentlydeletethisdesktop
pool.
Onlythedesktoppoolisdeleted.Theregistrationinformationoftheunmanaged
desktopsthatbelongtothepoolisnotdeleted.
2Ifanyofthedesktopsourceshaveactivesessions,selecttheactiontobetaken:
Leaveactive–Activesessionsremainuntiltheuserlogsoff.TheView
ConnectionServerdoesnottracktheseconnections.
Terminate–Terminatesallactivesessionsimmediately.
3ClickOKtodeletethedesktoppoolandreturntothemainpage.
Unregister a Desktop Source
AlldesktopsourcesthattheVirtualCenterServermanagesareregisteredwhenyou
installtheViewAgent.FormoreinformationaboutinstallingViewAgents,see“Install
ViewAgentonanUnmanagedDesktopSource”onpage 190.Youcanunregisteronly
unmanageddesktopsources.
To unregister an unmanaged desktop source
1ClickontheConfigurationtab.
TheRegisteredDesktopSourcessection
displaysthenumberofregistered
terminalsourcesandotherunmanagedvirtualmachines.
2 SelectthetypeofdesktopsourceandclickView.
