Creating a Parent VM Snapshot
OnceViewAgenthasbeeninstalledonthebaseimageyoumustuseVirtualCenterto
takeasnapshotofthesysteminitspowered‐downstate.Thissnapshotwillbeusedas
thebaselineconfigurationforthefirstsetoflinkedclonedesktopsanchoredtothe
ParentVM.
Deploying Linked Clone Desktops from View Manager
ViewManagercanonlydeploylinkedclonedesktopsifitisabletocommunicatewith
aproperlyconfiguredVirtualCenterhostthatisrunningtheViewComposerservice.
Inaddition,yourActiveDirectoryforestmusthaveafullyqualifieddomainname,for
example,example.com—youcannotuseViewComposerinenvironmentswhere
the
domaincontrollerhasanunqualifiedname.
