Local System Administrator
ViewComposerrequiresthattheVirtualCenteruserisalsoasystemadministratoron
themachinehostingtheservice(theVirtualCenterserver).Toaddressthisrequirement,
anyVirtualCenteruserusedbyViewManagertodeploylinkedclonedesktopsmustbe
amemberofthelocalsystemAdministratorsgroupontheVirtualCenterserver.
Preparing a Parent VM
TheParentVMisusedbylinkedclonedesktopsasthebaseimageforeachlinked
desktopclone.ForaParentVMtobeusedbyViewManagerinalinkedclonedesktop
deployment,youmustfirstinstalltheViewAgentonitsoperatingsystem.
Makesurethatyouhaveadministrative
rightstotheParentVMandthatthefollowing
prerequisitesareinplace.EnsurethattheParentVM:
IsjoinedtotheActiveDirectorydomaininwhichyouwantlinkedclonedesktops
toreside.
Networkingsettings(proxies,andsoforth)areproperlyconfigured.
