RGSisadisplayprotocolfromHPthatallowsuserstoaccessthedesktopofaremote
computeroverastandardnetwork.YoucanconfiguredesktopstorunusingHPRGS
asthedisplayprotocolinsteadofthedefaultMicrosoftRDPdisplayprotocol.The
connectionisbrokeredbyViewManager.

ofHPRGSsoftwareversion5.2.5tousewithView3.1.
HPRGSconsistsofaserver‐sidecomponent,calledRGSSender,andaclient‐side
component,theRGSReceiver.Beforeyoucanconfigure
ViewtouseHPRGS,youmust
installHPRGSSenderintheremotedesktopoperatingsystemandinstallHPRGS
Receiverinthedesktop.EnsurethattheRGSSenderapplicationorportisaddedasan
exceptiontoanyfirewallsoftwareused.ThedefaultRGSportis42966.
