To perform an initial configuration

EntertheFQDNorIPaddressoftheVMwareVirtualCenterserveryou
wantViewManagertocommunicatewithintheServeraddresstextbox.

timeyouconnect,yourbrowsermaypresentyouwithanintermediarypagethat
warnsyouthatthesecuritycertificateassociatedwiththeaddressisnotissuedby
atrustedcertificateauthority.Thisisexpectedbehaviorbecausethedefaultroot
certificates
uppliedwithViewConnectionServerisself‐signed.

CAUTIONIfyouenteraserverusingaDNSnameorURL,noDNSlookupis
performedtoverifywhetherornottheserverhaspreviouslybeenentered
usingitsIPaddress.AconflictwillariseifaVirtualCenterserverisaddedwith
bothitsDNSnameanditsIPaddress.
